Editorial policy
The rules every page on Silicon Valentine follows.
Evidence first
- Every statement about an app comes from our own test log, a dated screenshot we took, or a primary source we link: the app's pricing page, terms or privacy policy.
- Numbers on review pages (prices, times, counts, percentages) are read straight from the test log, not typed by hand.
- We do not invent experiences, people or characters. If something did not happen in a test, we do not write that it did.
- Every review shows when the app was tested and when the prices were last checked.
Money and links
- No ads, no affiliate links, no paid placements, no sponsored posts, no paid links.
- Links to apps and their pages are marked nofollow. Links to laws, studies and news are normal links.
- Listings in our app directory are free. “Featured” in the directory means one thing only: the app gave us free test access and has a published review.
- Companies can give us test access. We say so on the review. They do not see the review before it is published and cannot buy changes.
How pages are made
Tests are partly automated: scripts drive a real browser at a human pace and record timings, screenshots and replies. Pages are drafted with the help of AI tools from those logs and sources. Before anything goes live, a separate review step checks every claim on the page against the logs and sources and rejects the page if something does not match.
Images
We only use our own screenshots or images we are licensed to use. Exposed nudity in screenshots is blurred automatically before storage. This site is for adults, but it contains no pornographic content.
Minors
We do not test, list or link apps that frame characters as minors (for example “teen” or school themes) or show young-looking characters in a sexual context. Such apps are rejected without a listing.
Corrections and updates
Found an error? Tell us. We fix factual errors on the page and note the correction there. Prices on review pages are re-checked every month; the check date changes only when something changed.
